FDB is a family farm with 23 acres of estate and producing 80.000 bottles per year. Our winemaking is achieved thanks to attentive and experienced farming work, supported by a specialized team of skilled agronomists and oenologists and first-class professional equipment.

The rich and well-drained soil and the mild weather of this southern area of Lake Garda offer ideal conditions for the traditional activity of grape growing and wine making, in particular of spumante.

THE AREA

The Custoza is produced in the south-west area of Lake Garda. This region has allowed the development of agriculture, in particular of fruit farming and grape growing, thanks to its perfect geological and weather conditions.

THE CUSTOZA WINE ROUTE

The Custoza wine route winds its way through morainic hills featuring endless vineyards and allows to visit the several villages of the area. Moreover, the itinerary offers the chance to visit wineries and trattorias, tasting local dishes, such as broccoletti di Custoza, tortellini di Valeggio, peaches, kiwis, Verona celery and sfogliatine di Villafranca (local pastries).

The itinerary starts in Sommacampagna and in particular in the hamlet of Custoza with its outstanding Ossario (ossuary). Moving towards Santa Lucia ai Monti, you reach Valeggio sul Mincio, overlooked by its Scaliger castle and where you can visit the charming village of Borghetto. The itinerary continues till Villafranca, built around the walls of its castle; then the route goes on to Castelnuovo del Garda and Lazise. The itinerary ends on the lake shores in Peschiera del Garda.
